July 2024 was a very busy month for Deaf Dogs Rock. Our Deaf Dogs Rock Community sponsored 10 deaf dogs and puppies into special needs rescue in the seventh month of 2024! Wow what a huge accomplishment in such a bad economy. Thank you to every single person who donated to Deaf Dogs Rock in July!
It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission of helping one deaf dog at a time. Deaf Dogs Rock spends between $3000 and $5000.00 each month on Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorships! If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate. If you would like to donate in honor of a person, your deaf dog or in memory of one of your pets, you can send us a photo for our Honor/Memory Wall and donate here.
Every single day on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page you will see Rescue posts on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page which we put up for shelters across the country trying to get deaf dogs out of over crowded shelters before their time is up and they are euthanized. Sometimes a deaf dog who is surrendered only has a day or two for the opportunity to be pulled by a reputable foster based rescue so that is why you will see our organizations offer $200-$300 on almost every rescue plea we post up on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page so we can encourage rescues to help a deaf dog in need. Without the financial sponsorship offers to help with each dog’s vetting expenses, may of the deaf shelter dogs would parish and surely die within a few days.
The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf dog or puppy for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they can go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes. The foster homes are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care before they are available for adoption. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog when it comes to finding the right home for that particular deaf dog.
Deaf Dogs Rock works directly with shelters, rescues, sanctuaries, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.
When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to get the deaf dog out of the shelter (or from an individual) and help our partner rescues set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home. We do this by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them. Our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians which need to done after 12 months of age).
Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored another 10 deaf dogs/pups in July, 2024 which is a huge accomplishment in a recession. So far in 2024 Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 89 deaf pups into rescue. So far since the beginning of our Rocker Dog/Puppy Program several years ago, Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 1617 deaf dogs into rescue (as of 7/31/24).

Sweet deaf/blind puppy Jefferson is a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy-Dog Rescue Sponsorship program to help with the cost of his vetting and also help the rescue with these expenses so they can continue to help deaf and deaf/blind pups in need of rescue and vetting to go on to find loving forever homes.

Creamer – Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue – Virginia
When a shelter in South Carolina reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock in need of help with a very young deaf bully puppy named Creamer we referred them to Margaret’s Saving Grace Bully Rescue here in Virginia. We also told the shelter if the rescue had room for Creamer we would sponsor the deaf puppy through our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program to help the rescue with Creamer’s upcoming vetting costs.
Fable and Myth – Speak Rescue and Sanctuary
When our friends at Speak Rescue and Sanctuary heard from a very full shelter in rural Southern Illinois asking for help with two deaf mini Aussie pups that were dumped and picked up, they stepped up and found two amazing foster homes for them. Meet sweet Fable and Myth who will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program to help the rescue with their vetting expenses.
In Memory of sweet deaf dog Montana
Thanks to Angie Guinn and Kevin Krause for donating in memory of their sweet deaf dog Montana on what would have been his 17th birthday. Angie and Kevin donated enough to sponsor another 8 deaf dogs/pups into special needs partner rescues to help us continue to sponsor deaf shelter dogs into the safe arms of rescue. Over the years they have donated so much in honor of their sweet deaf dog Montana who passed in 2020.

Mojito – Code Red Animal Project Inc – Texas
Sweet deaf puppy Mojito came all the way to Texas from a rescuer in Mexico. Mojito is now with our friends at Code Red Animal Project Inc Rescue. Mojito will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy-Dog Rescue sponsorship program to help Code Red with his vetting (neuter surgery) to get him ready for adoption in the near future.
Philly and Reuben – Pink Heart Rescue – IN
We reached out to several of our partner rescues for sweet deaf /vision impaired Cockapoo pups Philly and Reuben but everyone was full. We put both pups on our website available for adoption which we don’t like to do with such young puppies because are goal is always to get them into special needs rescues where they will go into foster homes, get their basic training foundation and get fully vetted before they go to a new home. We were over the moon when we heard from Pink Heart Rescue after two openings opened up into their rescue. Both pups arrived from MO to IN the weekend of 7/27/24. Both puppies will be sponsored into rescue by our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue sponsorship program. Thanks to our generous donors, these two pups are now safe and will get the vetting they need to keep them healthy.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who continue to support our Deaf Dogs Rock mission to help one deaf dog at a time. Without your support we would not be able to offer the financial sponsorship to get these deaf pups out of kill shelters into the safe arms of our rescue partners.
We so appreciate all your love and support! ~ Christina Lee – Deaf Dogs Rock
