Thank you to all of our supporters who donated to Deaf Dogs Rock in the month of July 2023 to keep our mission going! Our Deaf Dogs Rock community has sponsored 9 deaf dogs/pups into rescue this July. What a great accomplishment in a struggling economy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for continuing to support our mission to save one deaf dog at a time. We also want to give a huge shout out and THANK YOU to every single person who continues to support Deaf Dogs Rock in the 7 months of 2023 so we can continue to sponsor deaf dogs and puppies into rescue.

It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission. Deaf Dogs Rock spent between $2000 and $5000.00  each month on Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorships!   If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate.

Every single day on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page you will see Rescue posts which we put up for shelters across the country trying to get deaf dogs out of over crowed shelters before their time is up and they are euthanized. Sometimes a deaf dog who is surrendered only has a day or two for the opportunity to be pulled by a reputable foster based rescue so that is why you will see our organizations offer $200-$300 on almost every rescue plea post we put up to encourage rescues to help a deaf dog in need. Without the financial offer of sponsorships these deaf dogs would surely die within a few days.

The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf dog or puppy for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes who are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog with the right home once the adoption screening process starts.

Deaf Dogs Rock works with shelters, rescues, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.

When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to get the deaf dog out of the shelter and help our partners set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them. Our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered be before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians).

Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored 9 deaf dogs/pups in July, 2023 which is a huge accomplishment in a recession. So far in this year our DDR community has sponsored 117 deaf pups into rescue in the first seven months of 2023. So far since the beginning of our Rocker Dog/Puppy Program several years ago, Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 1448 deaf dogs into rescue (as of 7/31/23).

July 2023 Sponsorship Recaps are below:

Berkley – Green Dogs Unleashed

When a person with a deaf Aussie puppy reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock from Mass. for help for deaf puppy Berkley, we reached out to our friends at Green Dogs Unleashed to see if they could accept Berkley into their program. It took some time and a lot of planning to get all their transport ducks in a row but Berkley finally made it to GDU and is safely in foster care. We want to thank GDU for making room for this sweet boy.

Jicama – Perfect Imperfections Rescue – CT

Thanks to our friends at Perfect Imperfections Rescue in CT, 9 month old bully mix Jicama is now safe. Jicama will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship Program to help the rescue provide much needed vetting to get Jicama ready for adoption in the future.

Benjamin and Samuel – Speak Rescue and Sanctuary

Thanks to our friends at Speak Rescue and Sanctuary for saving deaf Double Merle Aussiedoodle puppies Benjamin and Samuel. Both pups will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program to help the rescue with some of their vetting expenses to get them ready for adoption soon.

Dozer – Chelsea’s Hope Boxer Rescue

Sweet deaf boxer Dozer was rescued by Chelsea’s Hope Boxer Rescue and was transported from Miss. to Maine to live in his new home. Dozer will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/puppy Rescue sponsorship program to help the rescue with Dozer’s vetting expenses. Thanks to our friends Vern and Patricia Kerst for their continued support and hard work upcycling furniture to benefit Deaf Dogs Rock, we were able to step up and sponsor sweet Dozer’s vetting.

Zero – Speak for The Unspoken Rescue – Ohio

Sweet Zero is safely at Speak For The Unspoken Rescue in Ohio. The first photo of Zero above was from when he was attacked by another dog requiring stables and stitches. He was surrendered to a Toledo Ohio shelter when Speak heard he was in peril, they jumped to Zero’s rescue and saved him. We want to thank Doris Moore for sending in a donation in honor of deaf dog Cole and his dad Chris Hannah. Because of Doris Moore’s support to DDR, we were able to sponsor sweet deaf pit bull puppy Zero into rescue through our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship Program to help Speak For The Unspoken with Zero’s vet bills. Above are Zero’s before and after photos. This little one had dog bites all over his little body when he first came into rescue.

Big Fluffy Dog Rescue – TN

When we saw a post on the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue FB page about two senior Great Pyreness who had been dumped out in the country on a hot day to fend for them selves we were so glad to hear that they were both safely with rescue. The senior male GP was confirmed deaf from having major untreated ear infections. It is a miracle both senior GP’s made it into rescue and did not die from heat exhaustion or being shot or hit by a car. Deaf Dogs Rock sent in a DDR Rocker Dog Rescue Sponsorship of $300.00 to Big Fluffy Dog Rescue to help with the deaf male GP named Fiddle to get his vetting started. Our community is so thankful for every single rescue that steps up and takes in not only deaf dogs but senior dogs.

Our friends at Perfect Imperfections Rescue in CT just saved 2 deaf Catahoula pups named Jake and Elwood. We are seeing so many deaf Catahoula puppies being dumped at shelters recently because of the DM breeding. Thanks to Trisha at Perfect Imperfections these two are safely in her care. Both deaf pups will be recipients of the Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship Program to help with their vetting.

We also want to thank Angie and Kevin G. for a very generous donation in memory and honor of their deaf dog Montana who would have turned 15 this July. Because of Angie and Kevin’s generosity, we will be able to sponsor another 15 deaf dogs into rescue and we will start with the first two by sponsoring sweet Jake and Elwood.

A photo of Angie and Kevin G’s sweet Montana. He is now over at the Rainbow Bridge but his parents continue supporting DDR so we can continue to help sweet deaf dogs like Montana.
