Meet adoptable deaf 10 year old Jules who is looking for a loving forever home with the time she has left on this earth. As a senior she would love to hang out with a family (with kids 13+) or adults. She just needs to be loved and cherished in her senior years.

Hi folks,

We have a 9 year old white boxer, Jules. Eight years ago we went to a dog shelter and saw a sad looking creature sitting in a cage, with a “deaf dog” leash hanging next to her. We just had to take her. Jules turned out to be a very sweet, attention loving dog and a great companion to us.

Her deafness wasn’t an issue at all until our newborn baby started crawling up, startling the dog and causing her to react. Long story short, both our vet and the baby’s pediatrician highly recommend that we rehome the dog as she poses a risk to the baby, who is now walking.

This is a real problem for us, as we love our dog but have to make the hard decision. If anyone would consider adopting our dog, or knows a nice dog-loving person who could, it would mean a great deal to us. We have been trying to find a good home for Jules for some time now, and would appreciate any help.

That said, she needs a home without small children. She can live with other animals on a case by case basis.

Please contact us with questions, even if you are interested or a little unsure! She is wonderful, knows many hand signals, very chill, and loves her people (and we love her).

Jules adoption fee is $300 to a screened and approved home and you must live within a three hour driving distance of New York, NY.
