Meet adoptable deaf (and blind in one eye), 3.5 year old Border Collie/Mini Aussie mix Josie who is looking for a loving home with someone who has herding dog experience to give her the exercise and enrichment she needs. She also need to be an only pet with no young children (she tends to herd them) but older teens would be okay.

From her current caregivers: Please be kind, sensitive, and understanding. This decision was not made lightly. We have tried everything to prevent this outcome. My husband and I are having a hard time with this decision.

We are looking for a new home for one of our dogs, Josie. Since reaching the age of 3, Josie is not getting along well with one our other dogs. We have tried increasing exercising/training/enrichment, routine modifications, and medications. Nothing has helped the situation. We have decided it is best for everyone involved for her to go to a home with no other dogs.

***Josie needs an experienced adopter who understands or has researched the needs and tendencies of her breeds. She needs a home where she can be active and spend a lot of time playing or exercising outside. Even though she has been good around our child and our nieces/nephews, we believe she needs a home with no children or older (teenager and up) children.***

What she needs from a new family:
