Meet adoptable deaf 8 month old Boston Terrier Jax who is looking for a new home with adults and no cats. He is looking for someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.

Jax is an 8 month old purebred Boston Terrier. I got him at 4 months old. Being deaf, he was frightened, untrained, and did not know how to play. Jax is very smart. In no time he was walking well on a leash and was house trained. He knows about 6 hand signals and is very food-motivated and ready to learn more. He is very cuddly once you’ve earned his trust. He loves sleeping next to you and often under the covers. He has learned to play and retrieve. Jax is crate trained, happily going into his crate for a treat.

Jax has been neutered, chipped, received all immunizations and is on monthly heart wormer.
Jax would do best with an owner who is home most of the time and can continue training him to the next level.
Jax and my other Boston are both males, three months apart do get into disagreements. Unfortunately, what used to be play-fighting has now become more aggressive. I cannot risk injury to either, so I am seeking to rehome this sweet boy.
His only experience with cats has been outdoor sightings and he is desperate to chase them. Jax has had no experience with children so he might be fine with older more experienced and respectful kids (12+).

We are looking for an adult home for him with no cats.

Jax’s adoption fee is $250.00 to a screened and approved home and you also must live within 90 miles of Anderson SC to be considered for adoption. If you are interested in adopting Jax and live close to Anderson SC, pleas reach out to Sue at sue@naturefan.net so she can email you a blank adoption application to fill out to be considered for adoption.
