Hey I’m Jack! I am 1 year old adoptable deaf dog looking for my furrever home out of Portland, OR! I currently live with my 3 dog sisters, 4 cats, 2 chickens and 2 ducks!

I’ve been neutered and am current on all my vaccinations. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to run and play with my friends at the dog park. I like to chase cars up the fence line and wrestle with my buddies. I can be shy around new people, masks really freak me out; But I LOVE kids the more the merrier.
I came from a home in Washington and they did not know I was deaf. They treated me really badly wondering why I didn’t listen and called me a ‘bad dog’. After figuring out I can’t hear they gave up on me and left me in a laundry room until this nice lady came all the way (4 hours) to pick me up and drive me to my foster home.

Since then I have worked very very hard at simple commands like sit and stay. I don’t like being at home by myself in a kennel but, if I’m with my foster friends I do just fine. I enjoy going to doggy day care where my foster mom works!! I do have TONS of energy so some times I can get the day care pretty wild. It’s best to bring me there after a good morning jog.

I had dew claws in both my back feet removed, they were ripping and hurt really bad it’s best their gone. After that I don’t trust too many people to touch my feet, cut my nails or put any ointments or medicines on me. I require a muzzle in the vet, sometimes at home and get very stressed easily which causes me to flail around. Jack’s adoption fee is $200 and you must fill out an adoption application to be considered. Please contact Kierstyn so she can email you one. She would also like  you to meet the dog in person in Portland OR (at least for the first time). After you have met the dog, the screening process is complete and you have been approved for adoption of Jack, then and only then will Kierstyn be willing to drive Jack to his new home within a 3 to 4 hour drive of Portland OR.
