Meet adoptable deaf/blind, one year old Catahoula girl Iris who is looking for a special home with someone who will do positive reinforcement touch training/enrichment with her and always keep her safe. She will do best as an member of a family who can live inside with her family but have access to a secure fenced in yard to keep her safe. She is currently in a daycare/boarding facility and she does very well in play groups with other dogs.

Hello,
Please help us network our blind and deaf girl Iris!

Iris is a rescue from the shelters of Bakersfield ca who was on the euthanasia list. We are a boarding, daycare, and grooming facility but try to help rescues when we can. We have had Iris since December and we have had no interest in her and we’re not sure where else to look for her. She is a wonderful catahoula mix, about 1 years old, socialized and very playful with many dogs, crate trained, and has learned sit! A large feat for us as we did not know how to train a blind and deaf dog any tricks!
We would appreciate a share of her post, or any resources you may have! Thank you! We have her posted on our facebook (Fur & Feathers Pet Resort Millcreek) and Instagram (millcreekpets).
