Hello! My name is Hugo, and I am looking for a very special forever home. I ended up at the Humane Rescue Alliance when my owner could no longer care for me. I’m a friendly guy looking for an active owner. I am deaf, but it doesn’t slow me down at all! I am very scent-driven and am super smart. I have lots of energy and need a space where I can run and play without getting out. I would really love a big fenced-in yard where you can teach me all sorts of new tricks and games and nothing can distract me.

Having a dog like me means constant play, laughter, and love. I am currently in our Prison Dog Program at the Patuxent Institution in Jessup, MD where select inmate handlers are training me using hand signals. After just four weeks of training I am learning Sit, Down, Stay, Hand Targeting, Come, Leave-it, all with hand signals! If you think I’m the right fit for you please contact lhudson@humanerescuealliance.org to set up a time to meet me.
