Meet adoptable deaf chihuahua girl Honey who is looking for a loving home with a person who will cherish her and keep her safe.

From her current caregiver: This beautiful rescue special needs dog is looking for a loving home! I found her in the road dying and beaten and saved her life a couple years back and have been working on her social skills ever since. She gets attached to one person but it takes her a minute to warm up to you. She was beaten and slow to trust, but once she does, she is a sweetheart! The vet estimates she is between 4 and 5 years old. She is a long-haired all white chihuahua. She is deaf! She barks to communicate with her owner. She even barks to say pet me. She would do best in a home with no other dogs because she is really needy and gets jealous BUT can bond with another dog if their personalities are right. She is fully vetted. Her re-homing fee is negotiable to the right person. I’d recommend no children under three, as she barks and can scare them and vice versa. However, she has learned to love my great grandson who is now 6, although he still occasionally scares her. I love her and want to stay in contact with her new owners and be able to visit her on occasion or get updates.

She needs an owner who is going to smother her with affection and learn to communicate with her with hand signals. She just wants to feel safe and secure with no threats around such as small children. She is so cute and looks like a little white seal with big brown eyes. She is mostly housebroken, but once you learn to read her signals, you will be able to tell when she needs to go out. She is typically lazy and not destructive at all and follows you from room to room. She would be happiest with someone to cuddle and pamper her. Her past should not define HER.

Call me if you’re interested. I’m moving in with my granddaughter and she has two small children, one is an infant with her two dogs and another dog of my own so a new home would be best for her happiness and well-being.
