Meet adoptable deaf Jack Russell/Catahoula mix Harper who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend and always keep her safe. Harper is looking for a home where she is the only pet and would do best with older kids or adults only.

From her rescue advocate: Harper was left in a crate outside our building – since then she’s become a volunteer favorite!
She’s excellent on her walks and has taken many a field trip with volunteers to get out of the shelter for the day. Harper is also a fetch afficianado and loves doing puzzles/snuffle mats on rainy days. She’s very smart and learns commands easily, will do just about anything for a nibble of kibble.

While not 100% deaf, she is significantly hearing impaired.

*Living in rescue since October 2022
*Medium-high energy level
*Not good with other dogs/cats – she just doesn’t seem to want to be bothered with them. She has behaved well when on leash in public with confident handler.
*Due to nippy nature, will not be placed in a home with younger children
