Meet adoptable deaf Catahoula Leopard dog Frankie who is searching for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, be his best friend, keep him safe and in return Frankie will show his adoration and loyalty to his new family.

From Best Friends and Frankie: Hi, my name is Frankie! I’m a very striking boy with my beautiful, piercing blue eyes that lure everyone in! I was found wandering as a stray in Pine Valley, UT and was taken to a rescue in nearby St. George. The staff and volunteers at that rescue sure did love me but they had a hard time finding a home that would take on a deaf dog, so they asked Best Friends Animal Sanctuary if I could take up residence there while I waited for the perfect home. I absolutely love spending time with people – if I could, I would happily sit in someone’s lap all day long and get massages. I try so hard to figure out how to make people happy but sometimes I guess wrong and think it’s play time when it really isn’t. I just get so excited to be out with a friend, I can’t contain myself! I’m a fairly energetic and fun-loving guy, so I would love to go out on adventures and maybe even do some training activities like nose work or agility. After some fun activity, I love to curl up for a good nap. I also love to hang out with other dogs and really enjoy having play dates! My favorite move is to boop my playmate with my nose to entice them to chase me.

You can see a video of me playing with one of my friends below.

I love to chase cats almost as much as I love other dogs to chase me, so I guess I probably shouldn’t go to a home where I would be living with those of the feline persuasion (drats!). More than anything, I’m just looking for a family that will love me, be patient with me, and help guide me to be the awesome dog that lies within!
