Meet adoptable one year old, deaf Shepherd mix Emmy who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.
Emmy is a 1 year old sheperd mix that began her life in Texas, but is now fostered through Our Pack Animal Rescue in Wisconsin.
She is an 80lbs lap dog that doesn’t realize her size. All she knows is she loves love and attention. She does wonderful with other dogs, kids and anyone she meets. Being a larger dog she is strong, but does walk well on a leash and currently has a fenced in back yard to enjoy off leash sniffs and play time. She has worked with a vibrate training collar and can be “called” with flipping the outside lights when it’s dark.
She has a command for sit, come, stay/wait, OK for feeding time, eat, outside and loves being called beautiful. She likes to fetch, which is a new game she’s caught on to recently.
She is a huge love bug that loves pets, snuggles and cuddles. She is quite the foodie and has learned to take treats nicely. She is a stronger chewer so gorilla chews, tougher toys and kongs are best for her. She has a treat dispensing toy she loves to roll around and play with as well.
She would do great with other dogs in the home or keeping all the love for herself too. She just loves people and has 80lbs of love to give. Because of her size she may be better in a home with older children as she could knock over younger or unsteady people. She has a fun, adorable personality that can brighten anyone’s day with her silliness. Along with that her eyes are a little cross eyed, she can see fine but does follow shadows and sometimes will bite at the air, almost like she’s seeing stars. Rubbing her eyes seems to help her, then she’s right back to her quirky self. She’s just a fun, playful dog looking for a great family to love.

Adoption Fees:
Puppies (8 weeks – 2year) $400
Adults (3 years – 6 years) $ 300
Mature Adults (7years +) $200
All dogs (age appropriate) are microchipped, dewormed, neutered/spayed, and have a certificate of health from a licensed Veterinarian. They are given the following preventatives: Flea, Tick and Heartworm.
As well as vaccinated for: Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella.
