Meet Elsa — Our Golden-Years Queen (7–9 years old)
Elsa is a senior sweetheart with a heart of gold and ears that… well, are working on retirement. She’s deaf in one ear, and the other is slowly joining the club — but don’t worry, this smart girl has already picked up some basic doggie sign language and graduated from her 21-day training program with an A+. Yes, she’s basically the valedictorian of her class. Elsa is looking for a very special loving forever home where she will be the only dog and with a person or family who will cherish her throughout her senior years.

Personality:
Elsa is incredibly sweet and loving with her humans — big, small, tall, tiny, she loves them all. She prefers to be the only dog in the home… mostly because in her opinion, sharing the couch is a negotiable concept at best. She says, “Why share when you can have your humans all to yourself?”

Her Story:
Elsa came from a very harsh beginning. She spent her life as a backyard dog, never allowed inside, and endured extreme neglect. She survived freezing nights, scorching hot days, and fly strikes that left scars on her ears. Her paws were damaged from standing on hot surfaces, but those have thankfully healed with time and love.

Despite everything she’s been through, Elsa is gentle, grateful, and unbelievably resilient. What she wants now is simple: a soft bed, a loving family, and a safe home to enjoy her golden years her golden “ears,” as we like to call them.

What She Needs:
Elsa is desperately in need of a foster or adopter who can give her a peaceful, comforting environment. The kennel is causing her stress and depression, and she would truly bloom in a quiet, loving home where she can finally rest and feel safe.
