Meet adoptable deaf two year old Destiny who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her and always keep her safe.
From her rescue advocate: Destiny is a sweet 2 year old mixed breed girl who did not get the best start in life. Her mama was a stray who was taken in by a kind soul in Ashland City, TN, soon found out she was pregnant. The owner did his best to find homes for the puppies but ended up with 3 pups who he couldn’t find families for and ended up keeping at his home. Over time they noticed that
Destiny did not respond to noise or commands and was likely deaf. Unfortunately, while her two siblings got along, they did not get along with Destiny – in order to keep them safe from each other the owner kept Destiny outside while he tried to find her a home. Despite his efforts, she remained outside on a chain for about a year. Finally, he got in contact with volunteers from Cheatham County Animal Control and Cane-9 Rescue and we were able to get her placed at Cane-9 Rescue as well as on the intake list at CCAC. Despite her lack of socialization, Destiny is an incredibly sweet and resilient girl! She gets along with other doggies and she’s very eager for love from humans. She had taken well to living indoors and is potty trained now. She is also spayed already and is ready to find her forever home! Destiny would prefer a home with older children or adults as she is a little nervous around small kids. We’re sure there is a perfect family out there for Destiny! She is so deserving of love.
