Red Hook Rescue is one of our partner rescues in NY who pulls to rescue deaf dogs on a regular basis. When we got word Casper had to stay in boarding and is still looking for a new home. Since he doesn’t have a foster, Deaf Dogs Rock donated $150 to help out with Casper’s boarding costs. Casper is currently looking for a home and is with Red Hook Dog Rescue in Brooklyn, NY.

With your help in sharing our rescue pleas for shelter dogs in need of immediate rescue, Deaf Dogs Rock put active rescue sponsorship offers out for urgent deaf dogs in kill shelters in need of rescue. Right now we currently have another 18-20 rescue offers featured on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page on shelter dogs currently in shelters waiting for 501c3 reputable rescues to step up and pull the deaf dogs to the safe harbors of their rescue. Our Rocker Puppy program provides the funds to sponsor young deaf dogs and puppies into rescues. When a Rocker Puppy is pulled they usually go into foster care where they can relax and be carefully evaluated, socialized, and trained while potential homes are being screened for adoption. Here are a few of our December Rocker Puppy recipients.

Sadie

Thanks to the Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation in OK for pulling deaf dog Sadie to safety. You all ROCK!

Maui

So thankful to Harriet Zucker at Red Hook Rescue for pulling deaf dog Maui who was on the euthanasia list in NYC.

Sugar

Great news to hear Sugar was pulled by Above and Beyond English Setter Rescue. She will be heading from Big Springs TX to her foster home in PA.

Ella

A big shout out and thank you to Kibblez of Love No Kill Animal Rescue in West Palm Beach for pulling deaf girl Ella after we offered a rescue sponsorship. It is because of the support of our awesome Deaf Dogs Rock community that we can jump in and offer urgent shelter dogs at kill shelters hope in the way of offering a rescue sponsorship.

We still have a lot of deaf dogs to sponsor but we are determined to kick off 2017 by sponsoring as many deaf dogs as we possibly can through partner rescues across the United States. Currently we have around 20 rescue plea sponsorship offers being networked on social media channels to help deaf dogs across the country. In the next few weeks our hope is to find reputable rescues across the country who will see our DDR sponsorship offers to pull and rescue deaf dogs out of kill shelters . By having the funds to sponsor the vetting and sponsorship of deaf shelter dogs, this gives us an opportunity of saving deaf dogs from certain euthanasia in kill shelters across the U.S.

A big shout out and thank you to all of you who gave to our non-profit organization Deaf Dogs Rock for Giving Tuesday, Year End Giving donations, supporting our Booster campaigns and giving throughout the entire year of 2016. Without your kind consideration and financial support we would not have been able to sponsor 95 – 100 deaf dogs this year.

Happy Happy New Year!
