Our Deaf Dogs Rock Community sponsored 12 deaf dogs and puppies into special needs rescue in the month of December 2024! Thank you to every single person who donated to Deaf Dogs Rock in December 2024! A special shout out to The Unstoppables Project for their continued support to help us help deaf and deaf blind dogs into special needs rescues throughout the country.
It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission of helping one deaf dog at a time. Deaf Dogs Rock spends between $2500 and $4000.00 each month on Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorships! If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate. If you would like to donate in honor of a person, your deaf dog or in memory of one of your pets, you can send us a photo for our Honor/Memory Wall and donate here.
Every single day on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page you will see Rescue posts on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page which we put up for shelters across the country trying to get deaf dogs out of over crowded shelters before their time is up and they are euthanized. Sometimes a deaf dog who is surrendered only has a day or two for the opportunity to be pulled by a reputable foster based rescue so that is why you will see our organizations offer $250-$300 on almost every rescue plea we post up on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page so we can encourage rescues to help a deaf dog in need. Without the financial sponsorship offers to help with each dog’s vetting expenses, may of the deaf shelter dogs would parish and surely die within a few days.
The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf dog or puppy for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they can go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes. The foster homes are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care before they are available for adoption. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog when it comes to finding the right home for that particular deaf dog.
Deaf Dogs Rock works directly with shelters, rescues, sanctuaries, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.
When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to get the deaf dog out of the shelter (or from an individual) and help our partner rescues set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home. We do this by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them and fully vets each special needs pup. Our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians which need to done after 12 months of age).
Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored another 12 deaf dogs/pups into rescue in December 2024 which is a huge accomplishment in a recession. So far in 2024 Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 149 deaf pups into the safe arms of rescue. So far since the beginning of our Rocker Dog/Puppy Program several years ago, Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 1677 deaf dogs into rescue (as of 12/31/24).

Deaf Puppy – Amazing Aussies Lethal White Rescue of Arizona
When we contacted our friends at Amazing Aussies to see if Deaf Dogs Rock could assist in the medical needs of this sweet deaf Aussie they informed us they needed $2500 due to the labs, ophthalmologist, colostrum, supplements, high quality dog food and the treatment of parasites. They had raised $2000 towards his vetting but needed another $500.

Speak for The Unspoken – Ohio – Deaf Aussie Puppy Birch
When we reached out to our friends at Speak For The Unspoken Rescue in Ohio about a deaf Aussie pup (also in Ohio) that was in need of rescue, they did not hesitate to help us out by lining up a foster family and transportation to get the deaf Aussie pup into the safe arms of rescue. Thank you Paula and the entire Speak Team for helping us out on this puppy. 14 Week old deaf puppy Rhett – Calaveras County CA to a Rescue – Res-Que – Reno NV
On December 20, Deaf Dogs Rock put up a rescue plea of a deaf puppy who had been dumped at a local gas station near a very busy highway in Calaveras County CA. Since he is deaf and vision impaired the shelter believes he was dumped by a backyard breeder in the area. We are thankful to the Calaveras County Animal Services for reaching out to Deaf Dogs Rock so we could put up a rescue plea for this little boy.
We also reached out and sent the deaf puppy’s information to our friends at Amazing Aussies Lethal White Rescue in AZ who also shared our rescue sponsorship post and they connected with Res-Cue out of Reno NV and secured rescue for this little boy. This sweet puppy Rhett will be a recipient of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue Sponsorship program to help Res-Cue with his vetting expenses. We want to thank the Res-Cue team for pulling this little boy and getting him transported to NV. A $250 rescue sponsorship was sent into the rescue on 12/27/24. We want to thank The Unstoppables Project for a grant to Deaf Dogs Rock to help deaf and deaf/visually impaired dogs and puppies be sponsored into reputable foster based rescues where they go into foster care, get their vetting done, learn new social skills while potential homes are being carefully screened to set each deaf dog up for success in the future.

Lola – MD to Red Hook Rescue – NY
We were so worried about sweet deaf/vision impaired puppy Lola being that we put up her rescue plea on December 26 hoping for a miracle because everyone is so full and so very busy. We were just thrilled to hear from our friend Harriett Zucker from Red Hook Rescue in Brooklyn NY letting us know they had a volunteer on their way to pick her up. Not only is that great news but the foster home she is going to is very experienced with deaf and deaf/blind dogs so sweet Lola is in great hands! Thank you Harriett for being Lola’s miracle! Thank you also to The Unstoppables Project who awarded Deaf Dogs Rock a grant to be able to help deaf shelter dogs like Lola.

Deaf Dogs Rock tries to work closely with shelters to get even the hardest and most vulnerable dogs out of shelters into the safe arms of rescue. Thanks to Makayla Mosley the Animal Placement Specialist who reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock, sent in all the deaf and deaf/blind dogs info so we could put together a rescue plea on December 20,2024 in hopes of a Christmas miracle. On December 31, Makayla let us know that two of the special needs senior deaf dog went to a reputable foster based rescue. All of the dogs are HW positive so we did offer a $300 rescue sponsorship on each dog for a total of a $600.00 sponsorship. We want to thank Rescue Coop in South Carolina for pulling two of the senior dogs who were under the names Adam and Lil Bit. Both dogs will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue Sponsorship program to help the rescue with some of their vetting expenses. Their new names are Jelly and Bean. A big shout out and thank you to all of you who decided to give to Deaf Dogs Rock on the final day of 2024. We appreciate your kindness and support so much and without your help we would not be able to continue to sponsor the most vulnerable deaf and deaf/blind dogs in kill shelters across the country into rescue. We are wishing you all so many blessings throughout the new year in 2025.
