Thank you to all of our supporters who donated to Deaf Dogs Rock in the month of December to keep our mission going! Our Deaf Dogs Rock community has sponsored 19 deaf dogs into rescue in December 2022. What a great accomplishment in a struggling economy. We also want to thank everyone who sent in financial support for Year End Giving the last week of December. Your support will allow us to continue to sponsor deaf dogs into rescue in 2023!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for continuing to support our mission to save one deaf dog at a time. We also want to give a huge shout out and THANK YOU to every single person and company who donated to this year in 2022,  so we can continue to sponsor deaf dogs and puppies into rescue.

It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission. Deaf Dogs Rock spent between $5000 and $7000.00  each month on Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorships!   If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate.

The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf puppy/deaf dog for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes who are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog with the right home once the adoption screening process starts.

Deaf Dogs Rock works with shelters, rescues, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.

When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them. Our Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered be before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians).

Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored 19 deaf dogs/pups in December 2022 which is a huge accomplishment in a recession. So far in this year our DDR community has sponsored 231 deaf pups into rescue.

Thanks to the financial support of our loyal Deaf Dogs Rock community, D.D.R. can continue to help deaf dogs in need. So far since our start of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program, our community has sponsored 1327 deaf dogs and pups into rescue (as of 12/31/22).

Below are the recaps of each deaf puppy we sponsored into a partner rescue in the month of November 2022

Our friends at Speak Rescue and Sanctuary in St. Louis have been over run with shelter owner surrenders and with your help, we can sponsor at least four of their special needs pups into rescue to help them with the vetting bills which will allow them to continue to except urgent deaf dogs in need.

All four pups Lexi, Martha, Baxter and Brynn will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program so they will get the vetting they need prior to adoption.

Thanks to the continued support of Laura Cooper with Wildflower Seaglass Art, we were able to sponsor all four deaf puppies at Speak Rescue and Sanctuary. Laura had a great Holiday art booth at her local event Marblehead Christmas Walk Artisan Marketplace which she sells the most amazing Wildflower Seaglass Art work and her proceeds go to help special needs dogs from shelters and rescues (she has a deaf dog named Snoopy). Check out Laura’s beautiful artwork here on her Wildflowerseaglass Instagram page.

Spencer – Speak For The Unspoken Rescue – Ohio

When a person reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock in early November for their deaf/vision impaired dog Spencer who desperately needed rescue, we reached out to our friends at Speak For The Unspoken Rescue in Ohio to see if they could help. We also offered sponsorship for deaf dog Spencer to help with his vetting. It took five weeks but Spencer finally arrived at Speak in mid December. We are so thankful that the Speak team really hung in there because there was a challenges with communication to get Spencer where he needed to be.

Maizey – Great Lakes Boxer Rescue (sponsored through Nitro’s Fund)

When we heard sweet deaf, 3 year old Boxer Maizey was at a shelter and desperately needed to get out and get into the safety of a rescue based foster home we put up a rescue plea on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page. We were just thrilled to learn that Great Lakes Boxer Rescue in MI pulled Maizey and got her into foster care where she can decompress, learn new things, get all her vetting done and be matched to a new loving forever home. Maizey will be sponsored into rescue through Nitro’s Fund which was specifically set up to sponsor deaf boxers into rescue (like our sweet Nitro). You can learn more about Nitro’s Fund here.

Thank you to Thomas Proos for donating to Nitro’s Fund this month so we can continue to sponsor deaf boxers like Maizey here into the safe arms of rescue.

Finn – Happy Tails Rescue OK

Thanks to our friends Moria and her team at Happy Tails Rescue in Edmond OK for breaking deaf dog Finn out of the shelter. Finn has an upper respiratory infection but the Happy Tails Team will take good care of him and our Deaf Dogs Rock team will send in a DDR Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship for him so that he can get the medical attention he needs. Thanks to our friends Patricia and Vern Kerst for working so hard to raise money for DDR so we can sponsor deaf dogs like Finn into rescue. We think you all rock!

Novella – Humane Society of Eastern Carolina

So happy that Novella made it to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina (Greenville NC) so she could get all her vetting done, go into a loving foster home to learn new things until she can find a loving forever home. Deaf Mama dog and her pups – Pawsitive Life Rescue of New Mexico

Their freedom ride!

Deaf Dogs Rock put out a rescue plea on 12/20 in hopes a rescue in New Mexico would step up and help this deaf mama and her three puppies. We are so happy to report that Pawsitive Life Rescue of New Mexico pulled them and got them into foster care. Deaf Mama and her three puppies will all be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program to help with their vetting. We want to thank The Unstoppables Project who gifted Deaf Dogs Rock with a $1000 grant to help more deaf dogs in need so with their help we were able to sponsor deaf mama dog and her babies into rescue. Thank you so much to the Unstoppables Project Team for selecting Deaf Dogs Rock for this special grant so we can continue to help one deaf dog at a time into rescue.

Thanks to our friends at White Diamond Double Merle Dane Rescue in New Jersey for helping sweet deaf/vision impaired dog Marcy and deaf puppy Randy make it safely into rescue and foster care. Both Marcy and Randy will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship fund to help with their vetting expenses. Right now many rescues are seeing a lot of Puppy Mill dogs (older and used up) being dumped at shelters across the country so it is rescues like White Diamond who step in and take some of the harder cases.

Because of our Deaf Dogs Rock Community we can also step up and help them with some of the medical expenses which will allow them to help more deaf and deaf/blind dogs into rescue. We are so grateful for the financial support you all give Deaf Dogs Rock so we can continue to help deaf pups like Marcy and Randy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for all your support and helping us sponsor 231 deaf dogs into rescue in the year of 2022. What a huge accomplishment. We could not do it with out your DDR communities kind consideration and support. Wishing you all many blessings in the new year!
