Thank you to all of our supporters who donated to Deaf Dogs Rock in the month of December to keep our mission going! Our Deaf Dogs Rock community has sponsored 19 deaf dogs into rescue in December 2022. What a great accomplishment in a struggling economy. We also want to thank everyone who sent in financial support for Year End Giving the last week of December. Your support will allow us to continue to sponsor deaf dogs into rescue in 2023!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for continuing to support our mission to save one deaf dog at a time. We also want to give a huge shout out and THANK YOU to every single person and company who donated to this year in 2022, so we can continue to sponsor deaf dogs and puppies into rescue.
It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission. Deaf Dogs Rock spent between $5000 and $7000.00 each month on Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorships! If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate.
The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf puppy/deaf dog for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes who are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog with the right home once the adoption screening process starts.
Deaf Dogs Rock works with shelters, rescues, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.
When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them. Our Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered be before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians).
Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored 19 deaf dogs/pups in December 2022 which is a huge accomplishment in a recession. So far in this year our DDR community has sponsored 231 deaf pups into rescue.
Thanks to the financial support of our loyal Deaf Dogs Rock community, D.D.R. can continue to help deaf dogs in need. So far since our start of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program, our community has sponsored 1327 deaf dogs and pups into rescue (as of 12/31/22).

Check out Laura’s beautiful artwork here on her Wildflowerseaglass Instagram page.

Maizey – Great Lakes Boxer Rescue (sponsored through Nitro’s Fund)
When we heard sweet deaf, 3 year old Boxer Maizey was at a shelter and desperately needed to get out and get into the safety of a rescue based foster home we put up a rescue plea on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page. We were just thrilled to learn that Great Lakes Boxer Rescue in MI pulled Maizey and got her into foster care where she can decompress, learn new things, get all her vetting done and be matched to a new loving forever home. Maizey will be sponsored into rescue through Nitro’s Fund which was specifically set up to sponsor deaf boxers into rescue (like our sweet Nitro). You can learn more about Nitro’s Fund here.
Thank you to Thomas Proos for donating to Nitro’s Fund this month so we can continue to sponsor deaf boxers like Maizey here into the safe arms of rescue.

Thanks to our friends at White Diamond Double Merle Dane Rescue in New Jersey for helping sweet deaf/vision impaired dog Marcy and deaf puppy Randy make it safely into rescue and foster care. Both Marcy and Randy will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy Rescue sponsorship fund to help with their vetting expenses. Right now many rescues are seeing a lot of Puppy Mill dogs (older and used up) being dumped at shelters across the country so it is rescues like White Diamond who step in and take some of the harder cases.
Because of our Deaf Dogs Rock Community we can also step up and help them with some of the medical expenses which will allow them to help more deaf and deaf/blind dogs into rescue. We are so grateful for the financial support you all give Deaf Dogs Rock so we can continue to help deaf pups like Marcy and Randy.
