Thanks for your support. Because of our awesome DDR followers we are able to assist deaf dogs all over the nation with medical needs, transport, sponsorship and education. Here is Cain’s support story.
I was contacted by a nice woman who took in a sweet deaf American bull dog from a family who found him starving and wondering in the Mojave desert in CA. The family who had originally rescued Cain were moving and could not take him on their journey. The family was determined not to take Cain to the Animal Shelter so they contacted Rose and asked if she could take Cain and find him a good home. She agreed but she already had three dogs and it was very difficult (and expensive) to take on another dog. When she reached out to me here at Deaf Dogs Rock to list Cain up for adoption, I told her I could not list a deaf dog that was still in tact and not neutered yet. I wanted to help her get Cain listed so I asked her to search out a low cost spay/neuter clinic and make and appointment for Cain (and get a price quote).
Rose got back to me and since the spay/neuter surgery was under $100.00, Deaf Dogs Rock paid for Cain’s surgery (Directly to the Simi Valley Vet Clinic) so he could be neutered and put up for adoption on our website. Click here to view Cain’s adoption listing.
This is just one of the many community services Deaf Dogs Rock provides for rescue folks who need help to get a deaf dog into a good forever home. We could not provide these much needed services and financial help without our DDR community.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting Deaf Dogs Rock. Without you we would not be able to save “one deaf dog at a time”.
