A really nice family contacted us about listing their little female pibble (endearment for Pit Bull) named Blue. I let the family know we try not to list dogs on our Deaf Dogs Rock Deaf Dogs Available for Adoption section unless they have been spay/neutered. The more I communicated with the nice woman who owned Blue, it was clear to me she needed some help financially with Blue’s medical expenses. Since the family had been through some very rough times, and since we had a wonderful deaf dog advocate Kim Balboni and her patrons at the Good Dog University and K9 Daycare in West Springfield, MA recently do a fundraiser for Deaf Dogs Rock, I knew we could help out Blue’s family by paying for Blue’s spay surgery. A big shout out to Kim for helping us make Blue’s surgery possible!
Blue was spayed last Wednesday July 3, 2013 and Deaf Dogs Rock paid for the surgery in full. Blue is on the mend now after her surgery but her family is looking for a safe and loving home for her. Blue is still very much a puppy. She needs someone to be her leader and also commit to a consistent training schedule so she can have a solid foundation and become an Ambassador for deaf dogs everywhere. She has lots of energy so she will need a home with a secure fenced yard to keep her safe.
Thanks to all of our supporters for donating to Deaf Dogs Rock so we can reach out and help families in need. According to my deaf dogs Nitro, Bud and myself, our Deaf Dogs Rock Supporters totally ROCK! ~ Christina Lee – Deaf Dogs Rock
