I received a message from a young lady named Jennifer Samela asking for help with a deaf dog she was getting ready to pull and foster to save his life. His name is Mack aka Mudder.  Jennifer reached out to a couple of rescues and Red Hook Rescue stepped up and agreed to help Jennifer. The CT Humane Society also helped by neutering Mudder at no charge.

Although Deaf Dogs Rock has very limited financial resources, it is very important that our organization supports the rescues who agree to back deaf dogs being pulled from kill shelters into rescue/foster care. It is always a risk for rescues to pull a deaf dog that who is little older because they don’t know the history of each dog. Deaf Dogs Rock financially sponsored Mudder by donating $100 to Red Hook Rescue. This should at least help with purchasing food for Mudder.

Mudder “ruffing it” with his foster family.

A big shout out to Rescue Warrior Woman Harriet Zucker of Red Hook Rescue in Brooklyn, NY and to Jennifer Samela for being Mudder’s rescuer and advocate.
