Deaf Dogs Rock had the pleasure of sponsoring and transporting THREE special needs Aussie mix puppies last weekend to Green Dogs Unleashed Rescue in Troy, VA from Angels of Assisi Rescue here in Roanoke, VA. Below are photos of trainer Bobbie Patterson Wiggins saying good bye to the babies before we made our trip North on Saturday.
It was a beautiful day to drive up North to the Charlottesville, VA area from the Roanoke Valley located in Southwest, Virginia.
I was greeted not by just one Erika, but by two Erika’s who squealed with total GLEE when I took the cover off the crate in the back of our Deaf Dogs Rock transport vehicle. When they saw the three fluffy white Aussie puppies they literally squealed with joy at exactly the same time!
The photo below was taken by Carrie French at Angels of Assisi the day the three puppies went into foster care for two weeks prior to their transport on Saturday. I had the pleasure of getting to hold them for awhile and getting some sweet puppy kisses.
Thanks so much to the team at Angels of Assisi for finding a two week foster for all three of them. Thanks to Bobbie Wiggins for going in early on Saturday and bathing all three puppies so they would be clean and fluffy when they got to GDU. Also, thanks to Shannon Lugar who was so kind to foster all three pups and get them to their Vet appointments for all their shots. Thanks to Erika Proctor with Green Dogs Unleashed for agreeing to take them into her rescue and also to her friend Erika who agreed to foster them once they got to GDU in Troy, VA.
It is because of our awesome Deaf Dogs Rock Community that we can sponsor special needs puppies into special needs rescues where they will get the very best care and training so they can go to loving families.
