On 6/14/2016 our Deaf Dogs Rock community sent the POUNDWISHES $200 to go towards Wrigley a deaf puppy who was attacked by another dog and sustained a fractured jaw. This brought their total raised from $800 ti $1000. We know from having one of our deaf sponsored puppies with a broken jaw it costs thousands of dollars to come out of such an ordeal. If you would like to help them get to their $2500 goal, please click here to donate directly towards Wrigley’s medical care.

Wrigley 2

Here is more of Wrigley’s story from the Don’t BULLY Me Rescue POUNDWISHES page. :
Wrigley is a little puppy who was surrendered to vet staff to be euthanized after he was mauled by the resident dogs. He was in stable condition when he was brought in, placed on an iv drip, pain meds and antibiotics. He has a hole in his lower gum line and the jaw is fractured. It was the ER vet clinic that reached out to Don’t Bully Me Rescue. The vet will be doing a follow up radiograph in 2 weeks to see where we are at with his jaw. Wrigley is also possibly deaf; he does not key off on noises, squeaky toys, snap of the fingers, etc….which is no big deal because a hearing-impaired dog can be easily taught hand signals and can live their lives just like any other dog.

When Wrigley is ready, DBMR will pay for sessions through Training by Tara’s TDAWG program. (Texas Differently Abled Working Group) for deaf, deaf and blind dogs, and tripods. Our fosters are committed to attending these classes, and then teaching the adopters what they have learned. A heartfelt thank you to J and Angel for again stepping up to the plate for the DBMR family. We know that you just lost hospice foster Candy Cane to cancer and it is such a selfless and compassionate act for you to do this for our family. Thank you once again. – See more at: http://poundwishes.com/donate/524768/wrigley#sthash.B6bLciLb.dpuf
