Okay so I admit I can be a procrastinator like the next person but with that being said, I kept getting emails from folks asking where our official Deaf Dogs Rock “Donate” button is on our DeafDogsRock.com. I even had one girl email me and say “I’m probably just having a blonde moment but I have looked everywhere on your site and I can’t find where to donate”. Thanks to her, we now have a “Support Deaf Dogs Rock” page and donate button.

Chris and I wanted to wait until our accountant filed for our non-profit status in the state of Virginia. We are now officially a Non-profit Corporation in the state of Virginia. This is only the first step in getting us to Non-profit 501 (c) status but now we will be accepting donations. Chris was kind enough to take some time and build DDR a “Support Deaf Dogs Rock” page so everyone can see what DDR will be doing with the funds raised for deaf dogs. As far as rescues go, many times I will get a call or an email about a dog in a dire situation where I have to jump in the car and travel for 8-12 hours to save the dog from being shot or put to sleep. Now with the help of our DDR followers saving a deaf dog won’t be as stressful as it has been in the past because now we  have funds for transport expenses, vet care and even boarding expenses. DDR will also be able to support our local shelters who are our heroes because they agree to take in one of our deaf rescues into their facility on very short notice. Many times they even have the Vet waiting for me as soon as I pull up to the clinic as well as a foster family lined up for the special pup in need.  Chris, Nitro, Bud and I are totally blessed with our support network.

Chris and I want to thank all of you for your enormous support over the last 18 months. Without all of you “Rockers” out there telling and sharing our story, we would not have the networking and rescue support machine we have today. According to my deaf dogs Nitro and Bud, you all totally Rock!
