Deaf Dogs Rock received several emails from a nice lady in Florida who needed help getting her two deaf puppies to safety because of her failing health. Have you ever had one of those times where you just have a hard time connecting with someone? Well this was one of those times for us here at Deaf Dogs Rock. Sometimes rescue has a lot to do with timing so we know everything happens for a reason.

It seemed every time I emailed the woman who asked us for help,  I never heard back from her. I had asked Erika with Green Dogs Unleashed if she had room for two 6 month old deaf Aussie pups and she said “yes” so I was anxious to get the two puppies into rescue. Unfortunately Erika was also having the same problem with the woman’s emails and she wasn’t hearing back from the woman who needed our help. We were both getting a little frustrated and I was starting to give up.

For some reason every time Erika and I would hit “reply” to one of the lady’s emails the nice lady in Florida was not receiving any of our messages or information. Right when Erika and I were about to give up and move on to the next deaf dog in need, we finally received word from the woman in Florida again but this time  she signed off her last email with an alternative email address. Once we had her new email address, she started receiving our messages. Hallelujah!

As soon as Erika and I got the email debacle straightened out, Deaf Dogs Rock agreed to financially sponsor both deaf dogs Ditto and Phoebe into rescue with Green Dogs Unleashed in Troy, VA.

Once Erika got a hold of the woman in Florida she made arrangements to get deaf Aussie dog Ditto and his sister Phoebe transported from Florida to Virginia.

A big thanks to Erika for agreeing to take the pups into her rescue and to all her transport drivers with Highway Heroes Rescue Transport for getting both pups safely to Virginia. To Charlotte the woman in Florida for realizing she needed to find them a better situation where they could be well cared for, trained, and have a deaf dogs advocate such as Erika and her team make sure they both go to loving homes.
