Deaf Dogs Rock received a plea from a woman who needed our help. She was about to lose her home and she needed to find homes for her deaf/blind cocker spaniel Brady and for his hearing sister Bella. I reached out to Carol Bryan with Fidose of Reality blog (who is very involved in the Wigglebutt Warriors fundraising for OBG Cocker Spaniel Rescue)and she got me in touch with the right person with Oldies But Goodies Cocker Spaniel Rescue here in VA.

Theresa from OBG contacted Laura the woman who had the two dogs. After exchanging several emails with each other the ladies came to an agreement on how to get the both dogs into rescue. They also  worked everything out as far as transport and getting foster homes for both dogs lined up ahead of time. Our Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored both dogs into OBG to make sure we could help with some of Bella and Brady’s Veterinary costs.

The second family also fell in love with Brady.

Brady indeed got his 5 Golden Rings for Christmas.
It’s official. He now has his forever home with us.
He continues to amaze with his hug heart, strong spirit, intelligence, bravery, and affection.
Please, people reading this, consider adopting a dog with special needs. The love that is shared is amazing.
Brady not only adapted to his new home in a matter of a couple of days, but went on vacation …. long car rides / night in hotel / week at strange place … with courage and relative calm.
