Meet adoptable deaf dog Charlie (female) who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make positive reinforcement training a priority and always keep her safe. Charlie is house trained, crate trained, good with other dogs and okay with kitty cats. She is a typical sweet excited bully who loves people so much but she needs some work on her impulse control (a lot of sit, wait and watch me training when he meets new people). She also loves, loves, loves belly rubs!
From his rescue advocate: Meet Charlie was adopted from a shelter, only to be rehomed a week later. In her foster home, she had a blast adventuring with the children! That is when she wasn’t snuggling and smothering them in kisses. She enjoyed playing with the resident dog. Charlie sniffed the foster kitten and chased (to play) the adult cat. She’s about 60 pounds and need to learn to control her enthusiasm when meeting new people, but her energy is all exuberance and joy. Unfortunately Charlie’s adopter decided two days after adopting she wasn’t willing to work with Charlie in the way that a deaf dog needs, and she wants her gone immediately. The rescue that first had Charlie is more than willing to pay transport costs to states near North Carolina. We frequently run transports up to Maryland.
