Meet adoptable deaf one year old Carson who is currently looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.

From his shelter advocate: Carson is a one year old mix breed sweetheart. He came to us as an owner surrendered due to allergies. He loves everyone he meets and is an entertaining little dog. He weighs about 20 pounds. Carson can play very well with larger dominant dogs, he respects them when they ask him to back off. He can be reactive to soft dogs and smaller dogs. He will guard his food, toys and sometimes his people. He just hasn’t learned proper boundaries yet. Carson loves going for hikes and has been out with large groups of dogs on the hikes with the Shelter dogs and does very well.

Carson would do best with a family of older teen aged children and owners who can read dog body language and know how to redirect improper behavior. He loves to learn and is incredibly smart. Carson is a favorite in the Shelter and keeps us entertained on a daily basis. He loves to empty the toy bin and collect all of the toys.

Carson is current on his core vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and started on heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention.
Carson is currently in Turners Falls MA at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Regional Dog Shelter. You can reach them at fcsodogshelter@gmail.com or 413-676-9182.
