Meet adoptable deaf, six month old, boxer Bullseye who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make daily positive reinforcement sign training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep her safe.
From his shelter advocate: Our sweet girl, Bullseye, has come a long way and is now ready for her forever home! This 6-month-old Boxer mix arrived as a stray to the Humane Society of Ventura County (located in Ojai) in July. Though her past is unknown, her strength, charm, and affection have shone through since she arrived 80 days ago. Help us find Bullseye the family she deserves.
During her stay with us, Bullseye injured her paw and fractured four toes. After weeks of careful treatment and love from staff, her cast has been removed, and she’s learning to walk again. She may still be tender, but her determination and joyful spirit shine.
Bullseye is resilient and lovable, wiggling for attention, leaning for pets, and thriving on human contact. She’s potty trained, progressing with crate training, and has done well around small dogs. Our staff thinks she may be deaf, but she’s a quick learner, picking up visual cues and showing her adaptability.
Bullseye needs a forever family to see her as the extraordinary pup she is; a patient, loving family to help her heal and grow. With her sweet nature and spirit, she’s ready to be a wonderful addition to the right home. Meet her at HSVC (402 Bryant St., Ojai, CA) during visiting hours, Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 4:30 pm. She’s waiting for someone special to help write her story.
