Update 5/29/19 – Buffalo Boss was adopted in to a wonderful home!
Meet two year old deaf Boston Terrier Buffalo Boss who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish him and always keep him safe.
From The Boston Terrier Rescue of East TN: Buffalo Boss was originally from Florida. the rescue believe he lost his family in one of the storms. He was transferred to NY to a rescue then traveled to KYBTRET which is a division of the Boston terrier rescue ET.
Buffalo Boss is a purebred deaf, male Boston terrier. He is 2 years old and weighs about 27 lbs.
Boss is a fun loving fellow. He is learning to play with toys and other dogs. He is a happy go lucky fellow that is learning basic signs for appropriate behavior. This training will need to continue. Due to his deafness, he can be startled and has a deep bark if he is not paying attention.
Boss likes to snuggle with people. He also loves to chase a flashlight at night. Great way to burn off some energy for him. He will need a family that is willing to help teach him to get along in a hearing world. He has started to learn some hand signs and is a quick learner.
Buffalo Boss would do well in a home with another fur friend who could help him understand his world. Due to his deafness, Boss needs to be in a home with a fenced yard and if young people, then they need to be teenagers.
Boss was returned because he had an aggressive response to the man in the house when Boss was startled [We think]. Since Boss has been in foster care, we have not seen a negative response to his foster dad.
