Two years ago Deaf Dogs Rock started working with Angels of Assisi Rescue here in Roanoke, VA and their talented dog trainer Bobbie Patterson Wiggins. Angels of Assisi has been a wonderful rescue partner with supporting our mission to save one deaf dog at a time by letting Deaf Dogs Rock sponsor deaf pups out of dire situations into their rescue here in Roanoke VA. The entire Angels of Assisi Team consists of a team of dedicated Rescue Warriors.

Bobbie Wiggins Patterson is someone I talk to almost every day about deaf dog rescue, transport, sponsorship, training and ownership. Bobbie is a serious Deaf Dog Advocate and owner of a deaf Dogo Argentino named Riley.

Bobbie Paterson Wiggins is a professional dog trainer who understands how important it is to use Positive Reinforcement Dog Training on Deaf dogs and puppies. She has helped Deaf Dogs Rock bring in deaf dogs into rescue from all up and down the East Coast. She works with each deaf dog that comes into Angels of Assisi Rescue by starting their training as soon as they get settled in. She trains, screens potential new homes for each dog, does the home checks, and works closely with each family to set the deaf dog up for success in the dog’s new home.

Last year Bobbie adopted a purebred deaf Dogo Argentino puppy named Riley and she has spent the last 12 months training Riley. Bobbie has a very loyal deaf dog owner clientele who sign up and take her dog training classes at Field of Dreams K9 Training Center in Vinton, VA (this is Bobbie’s other job).

Deaf Dogs Rock feels so fortunate to work with such amazing Rescue Warriors like Bobbie and the entire Angels of Assisi Rescue Team.
