Meet sweet adoptable deaf puppy Bismarck who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish him, make his training/socialization a priority and always keep him safe.
From his rescue: It just doesn’t get more handsome than this guy! Bismarck is an 2 month old Double Merle Border Collie, which means both his parents had the Merle color pattern. Breeding two Merle dogs together can create deaf and blind dogs. This is the reason Bismarck is deaf and does have a some vision impairment.
Double Merle dogs have the same great qualities as any other dog. Bismarck is proof of this! He is a normal, adorable puppy who is having the time of his life!
Bismarck is deaf so he is learning some hand signals. His vision is pretty good so he maneuvers his foster home very well. He gets along well with other dogs, but has not been around any cats.
He is working on potty training, crate training and basic obedience (hand signals), which are all things his adopters should continue. Bismarck’s forever home will require a visible fence and no children under age 10.
Bismarck is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines, and is microchipped. He will require monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.
