Meet adoptable deaf 4 year old bully mix Beanie who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, make her part of a family and always keep her safe. Beanie is looking for a home where she will be the only pet.
From her rescue advocate: Meet adoptable Beanie, also known as Beana-Colada, Beanie-Baby, or just Beans! Beanie has been in rescue with JRs Pups N Stuff Rescue for over 3 years with very little interest. Beanie loves to cuddle on the couch with her people, she loves all the attention and makes everyone smile, including herself! Beanie is one of the happiest souls, she is always smiling and wants to make everyone her friend, except people with hats on are a bit scary at first! She loves to make friends with dogs outside of the house and is muzzle trained but she does not always enjoy sharing with her canine friends and is not always good at reading ‘no’ signals from other dogs. Because of this we believe Beanie would be happiest as an only dog or in a home familiar with a crate & rotate system!
Beanie loves to stay active and is currently enrolled in agility training at her current foster home SkyDance Pet Lounge and would excel in the sport if her new family chose to continue. This girl is really SO smart, she’s adapted and uses hand signals for her obedience training. She has wonderful leash manners, knows sit, down, place, paw, touch and spin all with hand signals. She really loves to please her people, which makes her so easy to train once you as the trainer are used to her learning style! We also recommend Beanie goes to a family with older children (12+) as she is very excitable and tends to not know her size when she jumps up!
Beanie doesn’t need an experienced owner, just a loving, patient owner that is ready to fall in love with a dog like no other. Her being deaf doesn’t cause many challenges, in fact it solves some, she doesn’t notice when someone is at the door or that she doesn’t hear dogs barking on TV. She will need someone with patience as after not being in a home all this time she will need some help to learn what to do and be in a new routine but the Skydance Training Team will happily assist any adopter, including virtually if needed for beanie baby.
Beanie lives a happy life at SkyDance Pet Lodge where they make sure all her needs are met, and they do so with pride. The only need they can’t meet is giving her a comfy couch to cozy up on with an owner at the end of the day to watch trash Tv, and that’s what she wants. Beanie is a higher energy gal, but she can easily sleep the day away or enjoy going on a fun hiking trip.
