August 2024 was a very busy month for Deaf Dogs Rock. Our Deaf Dogs Rock Community sponsored 12 deaf dogs and puppies into special needs rescue in the eight month of 2024! Wow what a huge accomplishment in such a bad economy. Thank you to every single person who donated to Deaf Dogs Rock in August!

It takes a tribe of animal lovers to support Deaf Dogs Rock to continue to carry out our mission of helping one deaf dog at a time. Deaf Dogs Rock spends between $3000 and $5000.00 each month on Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorships!   If you would like to help sponsor a deaf dog out of a kill shelter into the safe arms of rescue, please click here to Donate. If you would like to donate in honor of a person, your deaf dog or in memory of one of your pets, you can send us a photo for our Honor/Memory Wall and donate here.

Every single day on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page you will see Rescue posts on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page which we put up for shelters across the country trying to get deaf dogs out of over crowded shelters before their time is up and they are euthanized. Sometimes a deaf dog who is surrendered only has a day or two for the opportunity to be pulled by a reputable foster based rescue so that is why you will see our organizations offer $200-$300 on almost every rescue plea we post up on our Deaf Dogs Rock FB page so we can encourage rescues to help a deaf dog in need. Without the financial sponsorship offers to help with each dog’s vetting expenses, may of the deaf shelter dogs would parish and surely die within a few days.

The core mission of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program is to set up each deaf dog or puppy for success by sending them into a experienced special needs rescue where they can go into a experienced deaf dog foster homes. The foster homes are committed to training and socializing each deaf dog that comes into their care before they are available for adoption. This way, each foster advocate gets the opportunity to live with the deaf pup for awhile, work with the deaf dog, and accurately evaluate each deaf dog/puppy to make sure the organization makes the very best match for each deaf dog when it comes to finding the right home for that particular deaf dog.

Deaf Dogs Rock works directly with shelters, rescues, sanctuaries, private individuals, and breeders to help get each deaf puppy into our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program and into rescue. By doing so, each deaf pup gets the individual training, vetting, socialization, and TLC to grow up to become a cherished member of society. Deaf Dogs Rock is a judgement free zone and our number one priority will always be to help deaf dogs and puppies get a fresh start and a chance at a great life.

When our rescue partners screen potential new homes for a deaf dog/puppy, each rescue has a specific set of guidelines to follow when considering a new home for example; like checking all references, talking to the applicant’s veterinarian, and performing a thorough home visit to make sure each home is a safe place for a deaf or deaf/blind dog. This is why our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue Sponsorship program is so important to get the deaf dog out of the shelter (or from an individual) and help our partner rescues set up each deaf pup for a successful happy life in their new home. We do this by helping each rescue with vetting expenses so each puppy ends up in a rescue that specifically advocates for them. Our Rocker Dog/Puppy Rescue sponsorship program financially sponsors deaf dogs/puppies so each pup can be vaccinated and spay/neutered before they are adopted to a new family. We only work with rescue partners and advocacy organizations who are committed in making sure each deaf pup is spay/neutered before being placed in a new home (unless they are Great Danes or Dalmatians which need to done after 12 months of age).

Our amazing Deaf Dogs Rock community sponsored another 12 deaf dogs/pups in August, 2024 which is a huge accomplishment in a recession. So far in 2024 Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 101 deaf pups into rescue.  So far since the beginning of our Rocker Dog/Puppy Program several years ago, Deaf Dogs Rock has sponsored 1629 deaf dogs into rescue (as of 8/31/24).

Our August 2024 Sponsorship Recaps are below:

Two Deaf Boxer puppies – Chelsea’s Hope Boxer Rescue

When a person from Ohio reached out to us who had two deaf boxer puppies we reached out to Chelsea’s Hope Boxer rescue in the Northeast to see if they could make room for these two 9 week old pups. We are happy to report they made it to NJ from Ohio and are now safely in foster care. Both boxer puppies are sponsored into Chelsea’s Hope Boxer rescue through our Deaf Dogs Rock Nitro’s Fund which is specifically set up to sponsor deaf boxer dogs and puppies into the safe arms rescue.

Vegas – Chelsea’s Hope Boxer Rescue

When Chelsea’s Hope Boxer rescue reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock about deaf boxer Vegas, we were happy to help out with a vetting sponsorship through Nitro’s Fund.

This sweet deaf/visually impaired puppy was pulled by Sek Animal Advocates and safe. SEK Animal Advocates is a foster based 501c3 rescue in Southeast Kansas helping shelter pets make it out alive and into foster care. They work with local veterinarians, foster homes and rescue transporters to attempt to find every pet they help a new home. This little special needs puppy is in great hands and will be a recipient of our  Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Sponsorship program to help SEK Animal Advocates with vetting expenses for this puppy to get it ready for adoption.

Jordan’s Way Live Fundraiser for Pink Heart Rescue IN

When Pink Heart asked Deaf Dogs Rock to help with Jordan’s Way Fundraiser to benefit their special needs rescue, we were happy to help. Deaf Dogs Rock donated $300 to their fundraiser to help Pink Heart with some of the expenses associated with taking in so many deaf and deaf/blind pups recently.

Clover, Tango and Casper – North Texas Aussie Rescue

When Samantha with North Texas Aussie Rescue reached out to Deaf Dogs Rock to help with some of the deaf Aussies coming into her rescue, we were happy to help. Sweet deaf dogs Clover, Tango and Casper will be recipients of our Deaf Dogs Rock Rocker Puppy/Dog Rescue Sponsorship program to help NTAR with their vetting expenses to get them ready for adoption soon. Thanks to our supporters who continue to donate and support our mission to continue to sponsor deaf pups into special needs rescues.

Elsa and her four pups – A Darrah Bull Bully Rescue

We shared a rescue plea for Elsa and her four pups who were in the Clayton County Animal Control in Jonesboro GA and urgent. Thanks to A Darrah Bull Bully Rescue they are safe but they did become very ill. We had originally offered a $500 rescue sponsorship but have upped it to $1000 because the pups became sick. Please say a little prayer for those puppies that they can have a speedy recovery.

A huge thank you to Denise Selleck for her kind consideration and donation this month to Deaf Dogs Rock. Thanks to Denise sent in a donation to Deaf Dogs Rock in Memory of her deaf dog Barnaby who passed away in early August. Because of her generosity, DDR was able to help deaf pups (pictured above), Clover, Tango, Casper, Elsa and her four pups with a sponsorships to help with their vetting expenses.
