Meet adoptable deaf 1.5 year old Catahoula Aqua who is looking for a loving home with someone who will love her and keep her safe.
From the shelter: Hi guys and gals! My name is Aqua (one look into my eyes and you will know why) and I am a one and a half year old Catahoula mix. I have been with the SPCA of Brevard for quite a while now and I am really not sure why. You see, I came to the SPCA as a stray and was soon adopted out. However, my family made a mistake and I was hit by a car. The SPCA helped me out and paid my orthopedic bill, but in the end, my family was still not able to keep me due to personal issues.
One thing you should know about me before I go any further… I am deaf. I didn’t mention it before, because I really don’t see it as a big deal. I live a very normal life and I sleep like a baby! I get along with most other dogs, but I need a home without cats or tiny creatures. I am housebroken, kennel trained, and working on my leash manners. I would really love a family with energy and time to spare. I get along with older children and both men and women.
I was born deaf, so I have never questioned my ability to love, play, and be happy. I promise that if you take me home, I will teach you a lot of lessons and I will make a great student as well.
