Meet adoptable deaf puppy Arlo who is looking for a loving and safe home with someone who will cherish him and keep him safe.

From his rescue advocate:

Hi! My name is Arlo and I’m a six-month-old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Poodle mix weighing about 12 pounds. And yes… I come with a LOT of luxurious floof! Please keep that in mind because regular grooming is definitely in my future!

I’m a super special boy because I’m deaf. My foster has been working with me using hand signals, and I’m doing great! Because of my special needs, I’ll need a dog-experienced home that is patient, committed to training, and willing to learn right along with me.

I’m still very much a BABY. I’m curious, energetic, and still learning that human hands and arms are NOT chew toys. I’m working on my puppy nipping and chewing, so I would do best without tiny children.

I’m not completely house trained yet, so a patient home with a consistent routine is a must. Someone may even need to get up during the night for a potty break while I’m learning.

I love other dogs and would enjoy having a doggy friend. If I’m your only dog, I’d really like someone who is home a lot. I sleep just fine in my crate at night, but I definitely don’t want to spend all day in there!

I have plenty of puppy energy and would love a fenced yard where I can run, play, and show off my toys.

I’m deaf, but that doesn’t stop me from being a happy, playful puppy who has so much love to give. I just need someone willing to communicate with me a little differently.

I’ll be heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, and neutered before adoption.

Think this fluffy little prince might be your Prince Charming?
