Meet adoptable deaf four month old Jack Russel Terrier Milky who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.

From his caregiver – A Special Pup Looking for a Special Home

Milky is a gentle, joyful soul who just happens to be deaf. Born and raised in a loving home, he’s had a wonderful start to life filled with kindness, structure, and plenty of play. Now, he’s ready to find a forever family who will continue to guide him with patience, love, and consistent positive reinforcement.

Milky thrives on connection — he lights up when he sees his people or his dog friends and loves to play, explore, and learn. He’s highly food- and toy-motivated, making him a fun and eager training partner, who looks to us for cues . While he can’t hear, Milky is very observant and picks up on visual cues quickly. He’s already doing great with early training touch, sit , down and great with potty training and sleeps through the night in a crate with his siblings.

He rides well in the car (no motion sickness!), happily tucked in a travel bag on the front seat. Milky’s ideal home will continue to provide enriching experiences, gentle structure, and plenty of adventures while always keeping his safety top of mind. Consistency will be key as he transitions to a new environment and learns new routines and signals. Though he is only 3 months old he has the abiity to hold focus and loves learning

This little guy is looking for a home where he will be cherished, protected, and given every opportunity to thrive. If you’re ready to open your heart to a deaf puppy and help him grow into the incredible dog he’s meant to be, Milky is waiting for you.

Milky’s adoption fee is $450 to a screened and approved home only.

From his caregiver: We can plan  people being within 330 (  la area)  to 450 ( san diego)  miles, and are willing to discuss sharing travel , but also  let them know we are open to farther  if the potential adopters are a bit farther they can fly  in and we can meet up and introduce Milky to them in person (they would need to serious to consider that as they will have to book for him to  fly back with them  in the cabin with them ahead of time).  If he would be flying we would work more with Milky in the sherpa bag to fly, he is already good in it in the car  We would only consider this after we get to know them  bit through screening and phone conversations .  We have had good experiences with that arrangement  We can use the screening above the have them do our application  for additional info if they are serious   We are committed to waiting to find the best home for Milky he is a sweet boy and we want a kind person or  family who will work to develop him into a great family pet.
