Meet adoptable deaf 5 month Catahoula puppy Chance who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him, make positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment/exercise a priority and always keep him safe. Chance has had first set of puppy vaccines and his rabies shot. He knows sign cues for “eat, “go potty” and “come”. His current owner feels she is not knowledgeable enough to raise and train a deaf Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy. Catahoula Leopard dogs are a working breed and require daily exercise, enrichment and a structured routine. Chance is a typical Catahoula puppy with lots of happy energy, when he gets bored he chews things he should not and he can become vocal. He would do great in a home with a dog savvy person to set up clear boundaries and show Chance how to make the right choices through positive reinforcement training methods.
Chance is good on a leash but is also looking for a home with a secure 6 foot fenced in yard. I have a 5 month old deaf puppy. I do not know how to care for this dog. Chance is also good with kids, other dogs and cats.
