Update 6/30/17: Speck is on his way to his new mom so he has officially been adopted!
From Leigh:
Speck has graduated from the Pups for Parole program and is on his way to meet his potential new mom in NC. While our rescue typically does an adoption trial, the circumstances in this case lead us to think that he will be in his final home. He graduated with flying colors from his training program and is ready to meet mom and his furry brother and sister! So, if you want to list as adopted, that is great. His new name is now True. He will be so loved!
The good news: we began teaching him signs before adoption, and he’ll be going into the Pups for Parole program, where he’ll work with a trained handler for up to 12 weeks, until he graduates. He is a big lover, but had issues with personal space, so he’ll work on that while in prison. He loved living in a pack of other dogs to play with to show him how to be a dog and needs a fenced-in yard to keep him safe.
