It is so nice to have supporters all over the country. Just a couple of weeks ago I received word that Lara Joseph and her amazing team from The Animal Behavior Center in Sylvania, Ohio where going to put on a July Educational Seminar at their center to cover positive reinforcement training techniques with animals of all sizes and shapes. Lara adopted a beautiful deaf bulldog puppy named Levi recently and she is also is one of our Deaf Dogs Rock guest bloggers on our Training Blog. She wanted to show her support for our organization (and add fun to her seminar) by hosting a Deaf Dogs Rock Kissing Booth. From the photos on The Animal Behavior Center’s FB page, it looks like the kissing booth was a huge success.
Photos from The Animal Behavior Center, LLC Facebook page – Wow they have a kissing booth where the dogs can double team and you can get a smooch on each side of your face! Pictured above: Vicki Aquino Ronchette getting smooches from the pups!

Lara mailed Deaf Dogs Rock a check for $245.00. I want to thank Lara and her entire team for supporting our cause to save one deaf dog at a time. Because of their generous donation, we are sponsoring a little deaf girl from the Pender County Animal Control in Burgaw, NC (near Wilmington) as of today.

Meet little Fiona Apple! She will be arriving here to Roanoke next week where she will go to Angels of Assisi Rescue. It is because of generous donations of wonderful training facilities such as The Animal Behavior Center, that Fiona will be sponsored by Deaf Dogs Rock into a safe rescue. This means her medical expenses will be covered as far as getting her spayed and up to date on shots and preventatives. When Fiona arrives Bobbie Wiggins (trainer at Angels) and I are looking forward to starting Fiona’s beginning sign training right away. We are also hoping to get her into a foster home where she can be house and crate trained.
Thanks again to ALL of you for your AWESOME support. According to my deaf dogs Nitro, Bud and myself, Lara, Levi, and The Animal Behavior Center team totally ROCKS~
