Thanks to the Greater Charlotte SPCA for taking Bella aka now Juliette into your foster program. Deaf Dogs Rock donated to Bella’s sponsorship to help pay for her spay surgery. Bella is now called Juliette and she is in foster care awaiting her new family. She is now 3 years old and she is excellent with children and other dogs. You can read her new adoption listing here.
Bella’s previous adoption listing. She has a new listing under the name of Juliette here.
Bella is a 2.5 year old deaf white boxer who is now in her second home. She is currently located in Charlotte NC. She did not learn much in her first home because they were so busy. Now she is in her second home but the family has work, school, children with another baby on the way so the family is trying to find Bella a good home with someone who will have the time (and take the time) to train Bella to be the best she can be. Up to this point in time Bella has not had consistent positive reinforcement training. She still needs some serious crate and potty training. If a deaf dog is not properly crate trained or potty trained, (potty training MUST BE done on a LEASH), then the failure rate is much higher. Deaf Dogs Rock features posts on Crate Training and the best way to Potty Training a deaf dog. If someone was to make a two week training commitment to Bella through Tether Training, Potty Training and Crate Training, I guarantee Bella would be a total ROCK STAR
Her second family had very good intentions taking Bella in but then life in general got crazy busy so Bella did not get the consistent training schedule she needed. Bella is currently in a home where her owner works many hours, goes to school, has one small child and another baby on the way so she doesn’t have time to train Bella. The good news is she is reaching out to all of us to help her help Bella. She is doing the right thing by trying to find Bella a good home or maybe even a Boxer Rescue who would be willing to get her into a foster home with an experienced deaf dog trainer/foster and also screen potential adopters with boxer experience or deaf dog experience. Bella needs a rescue or adopter to take the time to train her so she can be successful.
I want Bella to be set up for success from this moment forward. Bella has not picked up a lot of new commands probably because she is not the time it takes to give her consistent positive reinforcement training every single day. This is what Bella needs.

Information about Bella. She is a deaf white boxer between the ages of 2 and 3. She is spayed,micro-chipped and up to date on her routine shots. She loves everyone she meets including all animals, children and adults. She is a typical boxer who likes to get into things like the trash can, counter surfing and laying around on the furniture (my two deaf white boxers love to counter surf and get into the trash). She only knows one command “sit” but with someone committed to training her she will excel. My deaf white boxer Bud got to me at 10 months and didn’t know even one command. Within 6 months he learned well over 30 sign commands. Bella is currently located in Charlotte, NC. and is listed up for adoption here: https://deafdogsrock.com/juliette-nc
