DeafDogsRock.com’s adoptable deaf dog listing policy is we don’t list unneutered dogs so sometimes DDR can step up and help out to pay for a spay/neuter surgery for a deaf dog in need.
I recently received an email from a nice lady in Kentucky to list a cute little Pomeranian named Wolfgang. When I found out he was still intact, I decided he would be a very good candidate for one of our DDR medical payment donations. We could not do any of this without the love and support of our Deaf Dogs Rock community. Because of the continued financial support, we were able to step right up and help dogs like Wolfgang who are in need of medical care. Today was Wolfgang’s big day (although I am sure after the surgery he wasn’t very happy) but now he can find his new forever home. He should be ready to go to his new home in a week or so. If you would like to donate to future medical gifts covered by Deaf Dogs Rock (100% of all funds raised go towards helping deaf dogs in need of medical attention, sponsorship or transport), you can click here to go to our Donate Now Support Page and then click on the Donate Now button with Nitro’s photo on it.
Zeus was SAVED!
Update 10-03-2014: Zeus was in foster care and his foster family decided they just could not let anyone else have Zeus so they adopted him!
I put up a urgent plea on our Deaf Dogs Rock Facebook page about a dog named Zeus because the shelter sent me and email and said they were completely full and that Zeus had been there the longest. The staff thought he would be the logical choice to be the first dog on the euthanasia list. Once the urgent plea went up on our Deaf Dogs Rock Facebook Page, Joe Joe’s Place Animal Sanctuary went and pulled Zeus within 24 hours after I posted him. A big shout out to Joe Joe’s Place Animal Sanctuary! When I got word I decided the least I could do is send Joe Joe’s Place a check for $50 to cover two months of food for Zeus. If you would like to check out Zeus’ adoption listing on Deaf Dogs Rock, please click here.
