Meet adoptable deaf Basenji/Husky mix (1 year old) dog Zula who is looking for a loving forever home where she will be cherished, someone who will make positive reinforcement training a priority and always keep her safe.
From her rescue: Our sweet basenji husky mix is about a year old and is an amazing deaf girl. Here’s what Zula has to say:
I have worked with a professional trainer.
I am sweet-natured. I can be wary of strangers but warm up quickly.
I am a puppy so sometimes I can be high energy, but I take breaks!
I love to play fetch, chew on bones and squeaky toys.
I really love people of all sizes and other dogs are awesome. I don’t think I like cats very much.
Did you know I am pretty athletic? I bet I would love agility training!
Zula would benefit from an active home and a family who is patient and willing to work with her. A fenced in yard would be preferred to help her feel safe. Currently she lives with another deaf dog and two hearing dogs. Could Zula be the dog for you? If interested, please contact A Journey Home Dog Rescue today!
