Meet adoptable deaf 3 year old Ziggy who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish him and always keep him safe.
From the shelter: My charming black fur eye patch suits me perfectly. I like to imagine that it comes from a playful adventure. For example, maybe it is a pirate’s eye patch. A pirate (or other) adventure with you sounds like fun! Maybe I got a bruise while I was showing my love like a WWF wrestler, as I sometimes do, with my abundant affection, enthusiasm and 46 pounds of energy. Or maybe my patch is there simply to make me look handsome and dashing (which I am!). In any case, let’s become a team, so we can enjoy our next adventures together!
I am about 3 years old. I am deaf but that doesn’t stop me from having a puppy-like zest for life. I could be a good running partner. I enjoy treats and attention. I would love to be your lap dog. Some of the volunteers who walk me say I am smart and learn nicely for treats. My forever family will be an active & patient, dog-experienced one who can provide me with the mental & physical enrichment I need to be the best version of me. Oh, and creative thinkers since they will need to use other methods than just verbal commands. I already know sit, stay and come!
My ideal home will be calm and quiet, I would love someone who works from home (I’m a bit of a velcro dog) or maybe you can take me to work? The staff feel that I’d likely do well in a home where I can be the only four-legged family member and with kid roommates ages 15 & older.
I recently spent some time with a fabulous foster in a comfy home and here are some things she says about me: “He is a love bug who sleeps through the night and totally housebroken; we only use the crate if we are leaving for a while, short trip he will just lay on the couch. He is sweet and doesn’t beg for food. At night he sleeps with us, as he has to be near people! Loves to snuggle on the couch a lot of the time. He is a great dog and will be missed.”
So, if you think I sound like the fur friend you could love forever, I would love to meet you! I have my bags all packed – I just need my forever family to find me. If you are interested in meeting me in person, come in today to meet me – no appointment necessary! Providence Animal Center’s hours of operations are Tuesday-Friday: 12–7PM, Saturday & Sunday: 12–5PM, closed Monday.
P.S. Some is excited for me to find my fur-ever home, that they have sponsored my adoption fee! That means I can join your family today for FREE! Woohoo!!
