Meet adoptable deaf, 4 year old cattle dog Woody who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish him and always keep him safe.

From his current caregiver: This is Woody, he was adopted from a shelter in about 2015, and has happily lived with me for 4 years. However I’m now going through some life changes that don’t allow me to give him the attention he deserves.

He, like most heelers, is very energetic and loves to work. He is very friendly and with the right training might do well as a therapy dog. He brings a smile to everyone’s face.

He knows a few basic commands; come/sit, lay down, no/stay. And likes to give hugs. He is fine with other dogs, and LOVES children (though he gets a little too excited around small babies…. Tends to knock them over). Cats make him nervous. He is okay with them as long as they have no interest in him whatsoever. He does not like cats that get in his personal space.

He’s very trainable, very loving, a very happy dog, who deserves a good home. If you are interested in adopting Woody, please email Summer and ask her to send you a blank adoption application to fill out. Woody’s adoption fee is $100 and if you get approved for adoption, you would need to live within driving distance to meet Woody in person (no more than 2 or 3 hours).
