Meet adoptable deaf Serafina who is looking for a loving home with someone who will cherish her, who will continue her training and always keep her safe.
From her rescue: Sweet Serafina is an albino Shepherd who was picked up as a stray. She was rescued from the shelter on the day she was scheduled to be put down. She is deaf and partially blind, which is typical with dogs like her who have a double merle gene.
We would love to adopt her to someone who has experience with dogs with special needs so she can thrive, but it is not a requirement. All she really needs is love and patience. She does know some signs. She does not like cats or small dogs. She has tons of energy and loves loves loves to play. She’ll fetch but won’t hand you the toy for about a minute until she’s done with it. She’s learning her indoor manners. We don’t think she had ever been on a sofa or bed until the day she arrived at her foster home.
She understands sign language pretty well so we are working on that daily. She’s incredibly soft, loves to cuddle with her people and her favorite toy is a purple pig that squeaks even though she doesn’t know about the squeaky part. She is spayed and fully vaccinated. She is very comfortable with a night light on beside her crate for night night time.
