Meet adoptable deaf Miniature Pinscher mix (Rue is larger at 25 pounds) Rue who is looking for a loving forever home.

From her current caregiver: I met Rue when I went to Praters Mill (a sort of county fair). She was about 6 months old at the time and I kept going back and forth to see her as my family enjoyed the fair. Countless families came by and pet her, adored her, but once they found out she was deaf, they had moved on. My family already had a dog or two and a cat, but I wanted to be the one to adopt her badly. My family was half way home (about an 1-2 hour drive) when I finally convinced my mom that we had to go back so that the both of us convinced my dad.

We turned around, got the money, and adopted her. Rue has been in my life for 8 years. Rue has always and still plays like a puppy. She gets along with any and every dog, she doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body, but she will definitely let you know when someone is approaching the house as long as she can see! My family currently has 2 other dogs (one is a Rottweiler, and the other a smaller miniature pinscher), she gets along with them and cats that we have had in the past. She is also very friendly with children and everyone she meets! I have taken her to local dog parks many times and as soon as she meets a new friend, she immediately rolls onto her back as if to submissively say hello. I have to move soon and the moving is flexible, but unfortunately, I cannot take her with me. She has lived in a loving home for years and I don’t have it in me to confine her to an apartment and a lonelier life as my family is unable to take good care of her. It breaks my heart as I get closer to the day that I will have to find a new home for her. I am seeking a wonderful home for Rue.
