Rose is an adoptable deaf senior dog who is looking for a loving forever home where she can live out her years just chillin like a villain. She is estimated to be between 9-11 years old.
From the shelter: Rose is the pup that was kicked to the curb and left to fend for herself because her owner said she doesn’t listen to him. After I was informed and asked to help catch Rose, as she was very scared of people, I was able to borrow a trap from Mike Merrill with Florida Urgent Rescue through the new SOS (Save Our Strays) program.
I learned from people in the area that Rose had been out for about a year. Also, they told me she could not hear. I put that to the test one day as she was sleeping and I was able to walk up right beside her, calling her, no response. Once I trapped her and approached her I saw she was super sweet. She licked my hands through the trap and wagged her tail. I brought her to ACPS where they called the registered owner (she was chipped). She was also RTO, that means she was already returned to owner once before. A few days later I was notified that the owner was not coming for her and she was now the property of ACPS Jacksonville FL.
Rose is not young, but she is used to being part of a family. She is deaf and needs someone who will love her and give her the family she deserves. Rose is heartworm positive. She has warm beautiful eyes and a very sweet disposition. She is believed to be German Shepherd mix. Please help her to find her furever family. Thank you!
