Meet adoptable deaf, 10 month old German Shorthair Quinn who is looking for a special someone who will cherish him, make daily positive reinforcement training/socialization/enrichment a priority and always keep him safe.

From his caregiver: Quinn had a loving family for 6 months but is now back with me (his breeder) looking for his forever home. He is has such a sweet and loving personality; on the mellow side for a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) but still a very active athletic dog. He is well socialized with people and other dogs. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is AKC registered and microchipped. We have taken him hunting twice with his brother and he did great! We had his hearing tested by a UC Davis expert just yesterday (9/4/23), and now know he is almost completely deaf (he can hear some loud noises).

His adoption fee is $200 to a screened and approved home only. You must live within a three hour drive of Menio Park, CA. I have all his vet records from the prior owner — everything else is totally normal and I have talked to the vet. He has had all his shots. I do ask that the new owner take over his pet insurance ($40+/month through AKC — I just started this for him and it is transferable) and buy the monthly heartworm and flea/tick medication.

He is well socialized with people and other dogs, and is housebroken and crate trained (mostly — still a bit of a work in progress). He is neutered.

I require puppies to be part of the family (i.e. inside with a person/people at least several hours per day, and time in the crate limited to 4 hours during the day (longer at night of course). You should have a home with a fully fenced yard, and be prepared for a lifestyle with a very active dog.

If you would like to meet Quinn please let me know. I am working from home the next couple of days. I will ask you to complete a questionnaire and we can talk about if we think he would be a good fit for your lifestyle.
