Meet adoptable deaf 3 year old, deaf, boxer mix Pete who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will be his best friend, love him and make is safety a top priority. Pete is 64 pounds of pure joy. et

From the shelter: Pete is a boxer mix, 3 years young and weighs 64 lbs. He is good with humans and other dogs. He is mostly white with brown patch over his right eye.

We don’t have much to go on as far as his background but what we do know is Pete is a loving sit in your lap kinda dog. He does well in play groups with other dogs. We discovered his deafness upon intake when his food bowl was dropped and there was no reaction. We had our veterinarian confirm, just to be sure there wasn’t another temporary problem causing his hearing loss.

Pete has been at our shelter about 3 weeks now and is neutered, micro-chipped, current on his canine vaccines. He is Heart-worm negative and on preventative for this and fleas and ticks.

He has a loving home with us as we are a No-Kill shelter but we worry about him becoming a long term resident given our location in rural MO. If you are interested in him or know someone who might be please feel free to share this post or have them contact the shelter directly for more information.
