Meet adoptable deaf 2 year old bully mix Nova who is looking for a loving forever home with someone who will cherish her, become her new best friend and always keep her safe.

From her rescue advocate: Hello there, I’m Nova, a sweet 2-year-old Staffie weighing 32 pounds. I’m a cuddle enthusiast who loves playing with my favorite stuffed toys. While I’m not super high energy, I do enjoy playful moments and, of course, lots of cuddles. I’m potty trained and happily sleep in my crate at night and when everyone’s away. One of my favorite pastimes is lounging on the couch, especially when we watch TV—I’m particularly fascinated by the fishies that appear on the screen! I adore chewing on bones, balls, and most of all, my beloved toy, MY CHICKEN! I’d love to bring him along with me if that’s alright.

Even though I was born deaf, I’ve never let that stop me. My mommy taught me hand signals for all the basic commands, and I’m a quick learner. Mommy has taken care of me since I was just 2 weeks old. Every night, I make sure to remind Grandma it’s snack time (she gives me a couple of pieces too!), and then I happily head to bed for the night. I’m a good girl who’s eager to learn and please.

Just so you know, I’m not a fan of kitties, so a cat-free home would be best for me. I absolutely LOVE ice cubes, carrots, and all kinds of fruits. Going for walks is always a blast, and my mommy gets a kick out of how my ears bob up and down. I can’t wait to meet you and become part of your family!!!
